Hello, I'm Jera.

I live with my husband and two cats in a tiny one-bedroom apartment on the North side of Chicago. I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago so I thought I owed it to the city to give it a shot.

I still miss Madison, WI after the three years I spent there, but I was worried it was making me too soft. Chicago, I'm afraid, may be making me too hard.

I don't like to be told what to do. I don't like anyone to be the boss of me. Yet, I lack discipline and direction in everything except crafting. I collect skills and attributes like bottlecaps (I collect those too). I like to put things together to see how they fit and every finished project is a little victory because of my short attention span (okay, so i was lying about being so driven).

My dream is to one day be able to afford a little extra room to devote to crafting, and to do it on my crafting wages alone (and be able to quit waiting tables). I could just sit there and craft and craft and craft... and my items would sell and sell and sell.

I am optimistic and I believe in magic. I believe in the goodness of people. I believe that people can make their dreams come true if they do what has to be done to get there.

I am a dreamer, and I am okay with that :)

I do not in any way take credit for any of the streetart that i photograph unless i specify that it is mine. All other art is done by other people, people i don't know but who i imagine wouldn't mind me immortalizing their art before it gets painted over.

Where standing at a bus stop was never boring. A city that felt like a living breathing thing which belonged to everybody, not just the estate agents and barons of big business.
