April 3 -- Wow, I haven't updated this header since September. I guess I haven't been on here as much as I would like.

Originally I'm from the Newbury on the northeast coast of Massachusetts. I lived a nice life there, enjoying my time on the water. Then I decided to join the Navy and got sent down to Virginia Beach, VA. Sooo, instead of fishing all the time, I used my free time to photograph whatever I found interesting.

The only thing I ask is that if anyone places one of my photos on their favorites list, please leave me a comment as to what it is you liked about it. I would love to be able to further my advancement in this art. Also, feel free to just leave a comment as to the good or bad of any of my photos.

I use Nikon cameras. My film cameras are a N90s and a FM-10 (my first, I'm sure like a lot of others). My father recently went digital and I was given his N80, but I haven't gotten out to shoot much with it.. My digital camera is a Nikon L11. I used to use a Nikon L2 for my digitals, but I blew it up while cleaning it . Before that it was a Coolpix 2200. For color I prefer to use Fuji film because it tends to bring out the blues and greens better than Kodak, but for BW I did use Kodak (mostly because it is cheaper).

I acquired an Omega B-22 enlarger, so I set up a darkroom in my bathroom. With this new setup, I also switched over to Ilford BW film, papers, and chemicals.

I use GIMP for editing on my computer. It's nice not having to pay for upgrades. I use a Linux operating system after getting fed up with the blue screen of death caused by a burnt up hard drive.
