After deciding to become a more serious photographer in 2004, I purchased a Canon AE-1 to practice with and enrolled in the New York Institute of Photography, where I soon completed my certification with a merit award. I moved on to owning a photography business in 2006 located in Upstate NY, having my husband join me in 2007. We officially went from "Jennifer Sawicki Photography" to "Sawicki Studios" in 2008. I was always seeking creative expression since I was a child, whether in the form of drawing, painting, dancing, poetry and, of course, photography. I have always been very drawn to a more moody aesthetic and am now working towards keeping with that preference by creating a more cohesive style.

I made this account in 2020 after being unable to sign into my original one that I created in 2006, but I only began using this account in Dec 2024.
