My inspiration is all around me. I am influenced by traveling, the history of those places, those past events I can only pretend to understand. I romanticize them as I try to decode my own life, infusing my past and present with the world around me.

My mind lingers on these influences and is in a perpetual state of motion- trying to explore my place, my connection to history, and how to leave my mark. Physically leaving marks to make art allows me to construct an imaginary world to make sense of. I enjoy the challenge of figuring out how my main subject fits into his world and all the extra details that help to visually develop his story-understanding the world contained on the paper from inception to completion.

My work currently consists mostly of drawings and simple prints, but I hope to someday have the equipment to do lithography again, as I feel it is particularly well suited for my artistic style.
