I’m currently living in the southern hemisphere in New Zealand (Land of the Long White Cloud—Aotearoa). Where “southerlies” are cold winds and what I consider exotic trees and birds are the norm. Where hurricane-size waves to a native New Englander indicate just another average day here and where people still have time to bake cakes and “calling in on someone” without “ringing” first is totally acceptable.
I’m attempting to capture moments and weave them into stories. The photos posted here may not be my best ones ever but they contribute to the story of where I’ve been, what I’ve done and who I’ve met along the way. For family and friends back home, I make sure they "see" me every once in a while.
I got into photography when living in the Middle East (Palestine and Israel) and doing humanitarian work so you’ll see a lot of those photos. I’m now working on bringing this passion into my everyday life. I try to keep it simple and natural.
