Welcome to my photostream

My main photographic interests are wildlife and nature – animals, flowers, landscapes. I’ve always been a birder, so enjoy capturing birds and their behaviour. When the birds are being uncooperative, I switch to plants—I just have more trouble with the names.

This quote encapsulates photography for me at the moment—I am striving to compose images that share the beauty of what I see when I’m out with my camera. Sometimes this involves using the digital darkroom to regain aspects of the image lost in translation.

Flickr is an amazing source of inspiration, knowledge and encouragement – it’s great to have an appreciative audience and to get feedback from people interested in the same things.
