I lost my gorgeous husband in 1984 on our wedding anniversary, whilst he was on active service, with The Staffordshire Regiment, in Northern Ireland. He probably would have been surprised I had gone down the photography route as I was always into my music, but I hope he would be proud of some of the images I have produced.
I took up photography after being ill and started to go walking but only slowly and took photo's on my mobile phone and since then I have the bug.
My images are how I see nature and wildlife, I may not follow the rules of photography, but then nor does nature or wildlife. If an ear of a deer is a little blurry, its because its tried to flick a fly off, to me that is a true image, I wouldn't want to replace what I saw with a "perfect" ear.
I have nothing against photo editing and I experiment with it from time to time, but when it comes to animals I prefer the whole natural look.
I won't list my "equipment" if anyone wants to know what I have used then ask me. As the late Patrick Lichfield (he didn't like to put Lord before his name) once said, you do not need fancy equipment to take a good photograph. You need a good eye and a steady hand.
I love to read and cook and also have played violin in various orchestras. I write music and play various instruments, obviously the violin, then the guitar, piano, clarinet and other various instruments, the one thing I cannot master is the flute.
I detest people who lie, bully and cheat and I will never associate with these types of people, unfortunately I have come across a few of these the last few years, but they have no place in my life I am glad to say.
I do a lot of wildlife photography these days whilst kayaking down various rivers and canals.

Felt I had to put fingers to keyboards about Jennies photography - I love it and it lifts me especially when I see some of her shots of animal antics. A cruel soul has advised her not to post so many NOISY shots and although we all have to accept that today's world is really quite a hard and horrible place, I would like to point out to that unkind person that feedback says more about the giver than the target. Keep it up Jennie we need much more....
