I am a textile artist and tutor based in West Dorset.

Originally graduating with a degree in Printed Textile Design in 1980, I took up stitching professionally 12 years later.

Alongside making my exhibition and commissioned pieces I have continued, in my role as a teacher, to develop a portfolio of work to demonstrate embroidery and appliqué techniques many of which can be found on this site.

I usually work in response to the landscape. My work combines machine embroidery, hand stitching, cut-work, appliqué, bonding and more recently paint.

Drawing, painting, printing and collage are crucial as a preliminary process in the development of my textile work.
