Hello and thank you for passing this way today. My flickr site is just what pleases me. When I think too critically about my photography I stop posting and so I decided some time ago to just post what pleases me. I sometimes try hard, sometimes just take snaps. I have spates where I take my camera everywhere and love to think about photography, some times when my camera stays in its case for months on end.

 

I've left everything in, from when I first joined flickr, originally just to store photographs. It's all a journey and the footsteps along the way may as well leave their mark. I make no apology for messing with my photos in PP. Sometimes I do (a lot) and sometimes I don't.

 

I love to look at the work of other photographers and am always in awe when browsing flickr.

 

P.S. I've uploaded photographs of some of the babies and children in my life. If you favorite them, I will always check your stream and your favorites. If I see anything in either that gives me the slightest concern I will block you and report you.

 

And... lately I've had a flurry of 'followers' who are following thousands of other streams and have few photos in their own streams. These people don't comment on my photos, or otherwise register an interest. I believe these are signs that they're likely to be nicking photos either for personal gain, or to stick icky quotes on and disseminate through social media. Either way, if you're following thousands of others, and you have relatively few photos in your own stream, and you don't comment on my photos, I'm likely to block you.

Curly Red was my first public friend on Flickr and we both share a love for photography. It has been great to meet a like minded person. Curly Red has some wonderful pictures on her stream and my favourite has been Llyn Tegid which was my first ever fave on Flickr. Curly Red has thought provoking images and her stream is always varied. I particularly liked the 3 piece collage images too. Curly Red also spends the time writing meaningful quotes or poems behind some of her pictures which gives them a unique and personal touch. Curly Red has offered me plenty of advice and given me lovely comments. I hope that we both continue our journey of joy for photography on Flickr.
