I bought my first digital camera in 2005, it was a kodak 4mp instant. I bought a 10mp kodak a couple of years later. My technique had improved a little by them. Finally in 2010 I decided to invest in a really good camera, so bought a nikon D3000. I'm still learning how to use it! I love taking photographs, even though i'm not that good at it. I like to think that I am improving. Most of my photos are taken in my garden, thats where I like to spend any spare time away from work. In 2012 I upgraded my camera again, this time to a Nikon D5100. It's a great camera and I'm loving using it. My interests are photographing insects and flowers, or birds if I can get close enough.

In October 2013 I was made redundant form the job that I had been in for nearly 13 years. Since then my health has declined and I find it hard to get about. As a consequence most of my photos are taken in my garden, which happens to be rich in all sorts of plants and wildlife. I welcome any comments on my photos, but please don't copy them without my express permission.
