My name is Karen, though people tend to refer to me as "that blue-haired girl". I'm a database administrator at a virtual public school by day, a web application programmer, and a lover of things brightly-colored, furry, or feathery. I have a bright green kitchen counter and a bicycle covered in beads and bells. I also serve as the Supreme Instigator of Kinetic Finery, Mad Haberdasher, and Festivator of the Masses for Kinetic Baltimore.
I make glass pendants, gemstone jewelry, and kiln-formed glass housewares. I started out with glass four years ago making stained glass, then started fusing in late 2007 because I was fed up with the enormous number of man-hours that go into a single stained glass piece and wanted to make things that could be used. With stained glass, you're limited to decorative items, and one only has so many windows.
You can see more of my glass and jewelry at my website:
I also post some of my work on Etsy.

Self-Representing Artist
I'm a self-representing artist. I design, create, market and package all of my work with my own two hands. I build my own website, I photograph my own creations, I create all of my own listings. It's a lot of work, but everything you see is me.
When you purchase from an SRAJD member, you are buying directly from and supporting the artist.
