I live in Guelph, Ontario, Canada and spend most of my "photo time" travelling around southern Ontario looking for the odd, the strange and the interesting. There are cars, decrepit old buildings, landscapes, odds and ends, some people and some 'things' and even donkeys. I have been doing photography since my high school years, when I did a lot of concert photography, which unfortunately does not seem to be allowed anymore (at least in Ontario) if you have what is considered a professional camera, that is, one with interchangeable lenses. It's all a rather silly rule. I used to maintain a darkroom to develop and print black and white photos but have long since abandoned that. I have a BFA but my main artistic expression is taking photos since I retired from my position as a communications manager/ art director for a national retail company. Most of my photos receive the usual boosts in Photoshop of contrast, sharpness and levels adjustments. I shoot with a Nikon D7200 (I have been using Nikons for 40 years and never had any problems to speak of) and use Nikkor lenses. Like almost every other photographer, I would love to upgrade but my bank account says otherwise! I process my photos on an iMac using Adobe Camera Raw and PS CS6. I have not yet had the urge to upgrade to CC. However I have installed Nikon's NX-D software and tinker with that from time to time.
