I take photographs when the shapes, textures, light, proportions, colours, shadows, moods, mysteries, and quite often the mundane which attract my eye and my camera. I try to photograph for a reason--some sort emotional attachment with what I see--if only for a fleeting moment. I am often drawn to the simple things, that when lit by beautiful light, transcend the ordinary.

As an avid photo walker, I explore Toronto with groups such as the Toronto Camera Club, Toronto Film Shooters (even though I shoot digital) and Toronto Photo Walks, as well as with individual colleagues and solo. I have taken more photographs at this stage in my life than ever before. Many of the shots I post from these walks can be rather mundane, and are for others to compare with their own photographs of the same walk.

At some point in my Flickr life, I started posting variations of the same photograph. These have included different croppings, as well as various processing techniques--including colour changes and monochrome versions. As it was difficult to decide which version was preferred, I often posted both. In 2022, I started taking photographs daily for Project 365, using my Samsung Galaxy S20 FE, and with my newer Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra in late-2023. It is a continuing challenge to get out and shoot every day.
