Jeffrey Weisman – brief bio

Jeffrey Weisman began his photography career in Detroit at Cranbrook Photographic Studio. His work included product, architecture and public relations photography.

Subsequent to Cranbrook, Jeffrey pursued a career in advertising in New York City. He ultimately created his own agency, Weisman & Associates, Inc. During this time in New York, Jeffrey owned and ran Main Street restaurant (regional American cuisine) in Greenwich Village.

Jeffrey has written articles published in trade magazines as well as the Sarasota Herald Tribune, SRQ Magazine and Pelican Press.

Several of his photographs have won awards at various Sarasota art exhibitions and shows.

In his photography, Jeffrey aims to capture images of everyday life, those scenes that are quirky, humorous or unusual. “It’s all there. Just keep your eyes and mind open and your camera ready.”

Jeffrey divides his time between Sarasota, FL and East Hampton, NY.
