For all of you that have befriended me over the past year I felt as if I owed everyone more of an explanation of who I am. At first this page started as a place to post some pictures without having to explain much about the who,what,why,when or where. Just drop and run hopefully grabbing a few critiques along the way. Between then and now I have discovered so much more than the Hey look at what I can do part of it. I saw the wow how did you do that side of me! Along with that I have aquired a few friendships that I enjoy whole heartedly. I also would like to offer an explanation to my screen name, as it is quite clear that I sign all of my prints as Images by Jeffrey Olson. Mathew is or was my 3 year old nephew who was tragically killed in a house fire along with my sister Janet. I had spent the evening with the two of them before the accident, when my sister asked me to take him on some of my adventures. I never got that chance and grieved over it for many years. Now days I carry a picture of Mathew in my camera bag, on all of my outings, hopefully letting Janet know that I'm still thinking about them. I guess in some simple undefined way I think of myself taking him into the world and discovering all that we can see together.From that simple thought, I am truly amazed with everything that we find together.
