For the record: Some of my images are works of fiction, fabricated in Photoshop [1] 'parody/satire', while others document actual moments in time. Whichever the case these works are created by me and are my intellectual-property under US Copyright Laws. Some photographic [2] 'collage images' may contain in part [3] 'stock photos' , purchased with unrestricted use from the author and or agent, and or are [4] 'Public Domain' material.

*1 [ Copyright issues as it relates to Parody/Satire, can be considered a derivative work under United States Copyright Law, it can be protected from claims by the copyright owner of the original work under the fair use doctrine, which is codified in 17 USC § 107. The Supreme Court of the United States stated that parody "is the use of some elements of a prior author's composition to create a new one that, at least in part, comments on that author's works." That commentary function provides some justification for use of the older work. See Campbell v. Acuff-Rose Music, Inc. In 2001, the United States Court of Appeals, 11th Circuit, in Suntrust v. Houghton Mifflin, upheld the right of Alice Randall to publish a parody of Gone with the Wind called The Wind Done Gone, which told the same story from the point of view of Scarlett O'Hara's slaves, who were glad to be rid of her. ]

**2 [ A collage (From the French: coller, to glue) is a work of art, primarily in the visual arts, made from an assemblage of different forms, thus creating a new whole. ]

***3 & 4 [ Stock photos (royalty free artwork purchased on disc files), Public Domain files, i.e. Public Libraries, etc. ... , used in part (Photoshop) are Public Domain: a range of abstract materials – commonly referred to as intellectual property – which are not owned or controlled by anyone. The term indicates that these materials are therefore "public property", and available for anyone to use for any purpose. ]

"I remember as a small child growing up in the stifling heat of east Las Vegas loving music, especially my father's guitar playing. I remember watching papa sit by the 1958 RCA "Orthophonic Stereo" HI-FI console night after night playing the guitar to spinning Elvis Presely 33⅓ rpm 12 inch vinyl (LP) phonograph records. One day, I decided I would like to give it a try. So I picked up papa's Gibson and began to play. Lol! I played magnificently. I played even better than papa. Unfortunately he agreed too, he threw the guitar into the fire place, never to be played again. After a lecture he banned me from the house indefinitely. As I was walking down the street with my head hung low, a pack of wild dogs attacked me. I shrieked and tried to fight them off. All of the sudden they just seemed to back away from me and start barking. I looked up and saw my neighbor Jeff blowing a dog whistle. I looked around in amazement and saw my father was watching the scene too. I said my thanks and asked how he knew I was being attacked by dogs. Jeff said Jesus told him, and to repay him I must give my life to Christ. From here on out two things were never the same: no one in my family ever played, listened to or discussed music ever again and we all became devout Christians. I think I heard Jeff say his family was moving to Seattle." _ Dick Vegas
