I teach photography workshops mainly to novice photographers who are simply looking to understand their cameras better and take more satisfying photos. I've been told that I have a very accessible style of teaching.
As a general rule, when I comment on photos I try to make it constructive and specific. (Some would call it critiquing.) I appreciate the same from others. Ten million "great shots" are worth less than one "I like how you framed that but this one element is a little distracting".
I've published two photography books! The first is a how-to book about photography to go along with the workshops I teach. It covers mainly technical aspects such as camera settings, light die-off, understanding how shutters work, etc. The second is more heavy on technique and how to make incremental improvements in the quality of the final images you produce. Both books (and more) are available through my web site www.moresatisfyingphotos.com.
One final note: I have a very strict, self-imposed limit of never having more than 100 photos marked as favorites. I'm not knocking anyone who keeps more but I just don't see how you can call 10,000 different photos your "favorite".

My personal favorite, the Assateague ponies and beach shots...LOVE IT!
