Thank you for dropping in. I love looking at the work displayed on this site and find it a bonus to learn a little about the people who created it.
So far in this life I have traipsed through 9 decades, 2 centuries and 2 millennia, most recently (for the last 27 years) in Scotland. This year I celebrated my 77th birthday and the 27th wedding anniversary with my second husband. I learned old school photography in the 60s in the US Navy. This led me to into the electronics industry for three decades. In both of those worlds I spent more time exploring the wet side than the light side of the art. Computers and digital photography have opened up new worlds to explore in artistic play, though most of my creative energy is channelled into verbal pursuits. For years I edited literary magazines and my husband and I are both writers.
As a child I never played with dolls. Now I do sometimes use them as models and like creating scale miniature habitats, but since we moved to our own place, I've never managed to get them fully acclimatised to the new space. I love getting the chance to photograph the animals I see through my window. This place has a tiny yard, so I have dabbled in growing things for the first time in 5 decades.
Just before Christmas in 2020 I was challenged with wrapping some presents without any traditional paper and ribbons and now I seem to be folding everything I can get my hands on. My problem is that I am attracted to more complex origami models than I've done before, so I am learning the basics the hard way by deconstructing and reviewing my failures. I am happy to find myself surrounded by a wealth of experts willing to share their knowledge. Thanks to you all.
