Hello, my name is Jean Katherine Baldridge. Formerly known as Jean Yates, or Jean Baldridge Yates! :)

My email is jyatesnewyork@aol.com

Hi! I am a jewelry designer, a well known contributor to all the top beading and stringing magazines, and the author of my own book Links, by Jean Yates, which concerns how to design jewelry using your own memories and feelings in order create jewelry even better, with more of a point. Just stringing beads is not what jewelry is about!

I also used to write a column for Digital Beading Magazine called Jean in the City, I LOVED doing that--it is so fun to know I am meeting people all over the world.

I have recently illustrated a children's book available at Amazon.com called One Lucky Flower. The author is Elizabeth King Gerlach.

My work has appeared in lots of books and magazines. I keep working on my second book. The first one was a lot of fun so that keeps me going!

I joined with Cindy Sowers and Fanny Zara to help create the book, Big Eyed Love, which is all about Blythe dolls and has contributors from all over the world-what an amazing experience!

I adore my family (two of my children are severely autistic, and one of those has passed away. I will never forget him-he is always with me).

I love books, music and color! I love to write and to laugh.

How to explain the beauty that is Jean? During one of my darkest times, Jean reached out to me like no one else did. When my heart was breaking, she arrived with just the right words. When another person touches your soul in this way...that person is a friend for life. And, Jean, you are just such a friend! It… Read more

How to explain the beauty that is Jean? During one of my darkest times, Jean reached out to me like no one else did. When my heart was breaking, she arrived with just the right words. When another person touches your soul in this way...that person is a friend for life. And, Jean, you are just such a friend! It is not surprising that she knows how to touch a heart; she is ALL heart and love and patience and compassion. You are a beautiful beacon of light, and everyone needs more LIGHT to shine in the darkest hours! I felt such strength when I was alone and sad and losing my sweet daddy. I will never be able to repay you for that kindness. I just hope to pass it on to someone else. What an amazing mother Jean is too...full of patience and self-sacrifice. I know that your family adores you, as do your friends! An artist in every sense of the word...and certainly, an angel sent from above! I love your photos...they are more than just images...they are a bit of you. Thank you, my darling friend, for everything! xoxo

What can I tell you about my dear, life-enhancing friend Jean? That she is one of the most adorable, funny, dynamic, compassionate, clever & perceptive people I know? That her kindness is legend? That she has a brilliance that shines more brightly than any star? That her creativity & endless talents are the envy of all and that her imagination is a fascinating well brimming with intelligence & wit? All who know her, love her. And all who know her family love them too. In my disguise as Elizabeth Barrett Browning, I fashioned a sonnet for them all: "How do I love thee? Let me count the ways. I love thee to the depth and breadth and height My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight For the ends of Being and ideal Grace. I love thee to the level of everyday's Most quiet need, by sun and candle-light. I love thee freely, as men strive for Right; I love thee purely, as they turn from Praise. I love thee with a passion put to use In my old griefs, and with my childhood's faith. I love thee with a love I seemed to lose With my lost saints, --- I love thee with the breath, Smiles, tears, of all my life! --- and, if God choose, I shall but love thee better after death." Namaste dear ones!
