My stream is a photo journal that I feel saved my sanity during some very traumatic and difficult times. I have loved photography since I got my first Brownie Fiesta camera at age 8. I have been lucky enough to have had a few photos chosen by the Library of Congress for its permanent COVID collection, as well as winning several contests. I have occasionally had my photos featured on tv and in the paper. Mostly, I love being able to look back on my life and my feelings as I lived it -- both good and bad, as I photographed what mattered to me or just struck me in some unique way. There are both good photos here and just snapshots I took because I felt like it. My favorite subject is street photography, I also love taking photos of an engagement or small wedding because they are both joyful and many candid moments are also awaiting there. I only belong to one group here, in order to keep a social angle and to try to meet the challenge that is posed in the group in a somewhat creative way. Recently, I started a new stream and made 99% of these very dear photos private.
I highly value and am grateful to the contacts I have here that are privy to my "friends" photos, some of whom are now friends in real life and have been my contacts for almost 20 years. Thank you for looking,
