I joined Flickr in October 06, and I sure have learned a lot here.

But recently the LIGHT just came on!! I've discovered that photography really can be INSTANT ART!! WOW!!

A brand new concept for me!!

When I first started digit photography, I didn't see myself as a photographer. I was more an artist let loose with a camera.

At first, I was just taking snapshots. Not a lot of thought went into them. I saw taking photos as a way of capturing subjects to use in my drawings. I loved using pencils, pen and pastels.

Then as I got more into graphic design, I was able to see how I could use the photos I'd taken, and along with the editing program, I could create a different sort of artistic masterpiece. Much quicker than drawing or painting it!!

Yet, I still didn't have the concept then, that photography was an art in itself.

But at last, I'VE SEEN THE LIGHT!!!

If I use my camera as my art tool, I can be an artist from the very start. I see now with a bit of extra time and effort in capturing a shot, I can have a work of art right there and then on the spot. THAT IS THEN A MASTERPIECE, and I don't have to do anything extra to it to make it look good.

DUH!!! One can be SO BLONDE!!! :-)

Now I sure am enjoying this INSTANT ART!! If you can get it right from the start, it sure saves a lot of time!! :-)

So that's a reason I've started a new account on Flickr. I want to try and create masterpieces (or close to them), and not just snapshots!! So PLEASE tell me what you think of my photos. Be honest... I don't mind if you're critical.

And the thing I want to do most through photos, is to capture the wonders of God's creation... and then say to the world, "Hey! Look what my Heavenly Dad made!!"
