Hi! I'm just a beginner with digital photography. Time and finances limit my ability to travel; however, I've learned to appreciate my own backyard. My 'backyard' for the past 16 years has been Okazaki in Aichi-Prefecture, Japan. Most of my photos on this site were taken in Aichi. They are a window to the small part of the world that I call home. Through them I hope to express my gratitude to all my Japanese friends and students who've welcomed me into their homes, invited me to go hiking etc.. These photos express my love for Japan.
I enjoy the flickr community and the opportunity to 'visit' other places and cultures through photos.

His wildlife photography is consistently world class and he has a wonderfully unique style behind the lens. But what you might not know is that this talented shooter is also a generous member of the Flickr community who takes the time... and makes the effort .... to praise other's images here on a regular basis. Flickr is a better place because Mike is involved here, and I'm proud to call him a friend.
