jchatoff's photographs have graced my contact pages for many months. In so many ways, she is the quintessential photographer. Her work covers so many areas, but in each she has the most discerning eye. She notices and photographs scenes that may be humorous, touching, absurd, or that reflect her world. Many times I've been one of a handful of people to see a photograph of hers that doesn't gather much attention, but study of it shows a brilliance that is unmatched in it's intelligence and humor. Her photographs are not just recommendable, they should be required viewing for everyone who loves the medium. There's nobody's work who I value more highly.
