Drag to set position!
Welcome to my new gallery where I shall be posting new work and old favourites with detailed descriptions of the stories behind each image, technical details and discussion of the ideas represented.
These are photos I have posted to the Patreon site but arranged in a gallery format rather than a series of blog-type postings – I think this is easier to navigate and find the images you want to see, including using albums.
The photos in this gallery are viewable to patrons in tiers 2 and 3. When completed, those in tier-2 can see all the photos currently visible on the Patreon site (around 100); tier-3 patrons can also see the last 100 photos to have been “archived”. Members who have subscribed to tier-3 for one year will see all the photos that have ever been posted there (about 200 more, and growing) as a “loyalty bonus".
Please tell me what you think and suggest any ideas on how it could be improved...
At present this site is under development and I have posted the first 50 photos.
PS, now 75
Jan. 2025: I have had little time over the last year to develop this gallery but shortly I shall be retiring from my “day job” and will be able to get on with it. I am considering a range of formats for the “permanent” gallery – it may be separate from Flickr or it may take the form of a group.
I would like to hear your views on what you would like to see or do to make this more of an active forum rather than just a gallery. Maybe workshops on restoring old photos? or back to my original plan of getting high-quality limited-edition prints of my photos? – which could be bought at cost by members (or for a commercial price by non-members) as there are now labs in most countries which can do this and post them to you. I shall also be planning residential courses on taking and digitally processing your own photos either in south-west England or in France (Charente region) and I would be interested to hear what form you think these should take...
