A native of Northern California, Janet Busi was raised in the east Oakland Bay Area. She studied in graphic arts working in printing and graphic design and became a successful graphic designer in both California and Reno, Nevada. She married in 1977 and in 1988 she and husband, Ron moved to Reno. After 45 years in the printing and graphic design business she retired in 2014. As a child photography always fascinated Janet and she loved using her parent's Brownie camera. When photography went digital, her passion for photography grew. Several years ago she took an online course in photography and learned how to use her Nikon camera, which allowed her to explore different genres and she has concluded that she enjoys macro, still life, impressionism and wildlife photography the most. Janet is a member of the National Audubon Society and locally, the Lahontan Audubon Society and frequently attends field trips and photographs birds and wildlife. She is blessed to live in the Reno area and enjoys exploring Nevada and California wetlands and hiking trails often.
