I've been heavily involved in motorsports from the time I was born. My family has been road racing since the 60's and I finally got my turn behind the wheel starting in 2001. The race driving career was pretty short lived as it was expensive and I'd accomplished what I wanted to at the time, so I took time off from that to pursue my other interest.
I had always been a fan of photography from a young age. I loved seeing old racing pictures from when my family raced, and wanted to capture images of the cars I saw race, mainly so I wouldn't forget them and have a way to remember my experiences at the track. I was doing this with a little Pentax camera. In 2003, I had the chance to try out a DSLR and the rest is history. I was hooked. I went ahead and got an associates degree in Professional Photography from Colorado Mountain College in 2007, and had since just been running around the country gaining experience, shooting as many different forms of racing from various tracks as I can handle. Fortunately this passion has slowly turned into a more professional gig as I shoot for Honda in the World Challenge series. Thanks for checking out my passion at work!
