The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes.

Hello. Bonjour. Thanks for visiting my website and Photostream.
Sunset Surfer
I am an advanced amateur photographer currently using a Nikon Z9 mirrorless camera and am an avid Photoshop user, now Photoshop CC 2023. I like to enhance my images in Camera Raw and use layers and masks. Currently I am using Nik Silver Efex Pro, Topaz, and textured blending modes. My favourite lenses are the Nikkor VR 18-200, the Nikon 14-24 mm wide angle, and mostly recently a 150-600 Sigma Telephoto for wildlife, mostly birds. I have been interested in photography since I was a kid and had a Brownie box camera with Kodak black and white film. The underwater images were taken with a Nikonos III and Honeywell strobe some years ago in the Grand Cayman Islands, Hawaii, and off the coast of British Columbia and Washington State in my scuba diving days. I am a member of NAPP and have attended 2 Photoshop World Conferences. I appreciate any comments positive or negative to help me improve my photos. In my real life I am a family doctor.
Many of the images I see on Flickr are amazing, cool, and creative. I have much to learn from what I see and strive to always improve my images by learning from you and other photographers. I thank many of my Flickr friends from whom I have learned a lot (Bruce, Keith, Eudald, Jimmy, Jane, GG, Breece, Miranda, George, Von, Cat and many others). I don't pretend to be an artist, I like to have fun with photography, and experiment with lots of different shots and creations. I like impressionism and am a Claude Monet wannabe. Sometimes I will do alternate photos that seem out of character. I like doing landscapes and minimalism.
Photoshop is my digital darkroom.
