I first started taking photos in my teens - my first SLR was a Minolta X-370. I was always fascinated with aviation, so the bulk of my early photography was aircraft and airshows. I still take aviation photos when I get the chance, but in the last year or two, I've gotten interested in bird photography as well. The bird photos were originally just so I could identify the birds, but now I try to get unique or close-up shots of them even if I know the ID.

I live in the Pensacola, FL area; but my job takes me all over the U.S., and I always take my camera.
