Jay has been such an inspiration to me in the short time I have been on Flickr! He welcomed me right away, and has been so supportive of my "very beginner" photos. He is so very kind and extremely helpful to any questions I have had. His passion for his photography shows in every image. I have spent HOURS viewing his incredible photos, only longing for more. I have watched his short videos and have felt like I am right there along in his photo shoots. I admire him and find myself waiting for his next great capture daily. I have been Jay's contact for about a year and he never ceases to amaze me with the beauty of his photographs. 7 years ago he became interested in photography - WOW in 7 years and he has done this work! I appreciate his patience, I know some of these shots required a lot of time waiting sometimes in the frreezing cold it looks like. His eye for a shot is not something you learn, it's a gift that combined with an obvious love of the outdoors and nature. I especially look forward to his photostream since I moved to the city and rarely see anything other than a pigeon, seagull, squirrel oh and yeah the occasional rat. Thank you so much Jay, you are immensely talented.

For him to be able to do this lets one know that he instills a sense of trust among wildlife. As a lover of nature and wildlife, I'm am so grateful to him for sharing these images with us. Better than any PBS or Animal Planet show. I only wish I could take such pictures. Keep up the great work Jay!

I do not know Jay~ nor have I met him or hung out in photo shoots with him. I found his work through another contacts comments and took a look at it and I could not believe the stunning and beautiful photos he has taken, He is truly gifted... He says it well himself "doing what he loves to do" And he does it so well! Not only does his photography inspire me, It keeps me reaching to get that perfect shot! ~ whatever that may be because that really is the great and rewarding challenge of the photographer. Jay is not the only one rewarded by his captures, We all are! His closest friends like Sandy, Phill and so may others and people like me who just met him from across the coast here on Flickr. He has been as kind and supportive as anyone can be. I enjoy asking for his advice because he graciously helps and wants to help. He is a very nice person with a great gift!
