Hi.
I was in a hit and run accident in 2006,. It's left me unable to walk far, drive and do most things. Before this I was very active including a dance teacher and entertainer. I still attend my jobs and do my best with lots of help from my pupils and support from audiences. Unfortunately I've just been told I'll be like this for life.
As I can't get out much, during this time, thanks to Springwatch I did the "Big Garden Bird Watch" and found I'd descovered a much loved hobby.
"Thank you Springwatch!"
I invested in a camera and began to click away. My dad used to take great photos so I hope I will be as good as him. I'd sure like to be as good as most of you on flickr but I've a long way to go for that!!!
Because of my disability I'm afraid my photos only limit me to my garden or maybe a little stroll.
Sometimes My Hubby takes me to places where I can watch the things I love including the Red Arrows. I've seen them every year since 1975 and will keep on doing so.
So I hope you enjoy my photos.
I would personaly like to thank Ken from my line dance class for my new tripod. "Thanks Ken".
I've found that watching wildlife is certainly good for the soul. I do experience lots of pain and if I've had trouble sleeping, I can get up, see a bird and somehow it makes me feel better and takes some of my pain away. It makes me feel real happy!
Some of your nature shots on Flickr have taken my breath away. You'll find some of my favourites in my gallery.
Well done to everyone on Flickr. You've also given me lots of pleasure and inspiration looking at them!
By the way, I'm trying a new rehabilatation program which may get me back on my feet again and have some normality in my life. That would be great. Fingers crossed. So then I may be able to take a walk and see what a lot of you have seen, but I've enjoyed bringing your nature into my front room.
I am also cat mad!
I enjoy time with my wonderful cats and helping out at Boxer Dog rescue.
I love to help raise money for the RSPB, Boxer Dog Rescue, Cats Protection and Cedar Wildlife Sanctuary.
I also rescue hedgehogs.
I would also like to thank you all for the wonderful cat and dog photos you have all have taken which has given me so much pleasure!
See you on Flickr x x
