My parents are originally from Long Island, NY. They moved out West to Utah when I was 2. I have have lived in the State all my life and appreciate all that it has to offer. It is not hard to fall in love with the Wasatch Mountains, the Red Rock of Southern Utah and the great rivers that surround us.

Growing up I had several mentors that spent all of their free time fishing. I was introduced to flyfishing at the age of 12. The love that I have for the rivers and lakes that abound in this great State keep me here a long with my beautiful wife and four children.

I picked up a camera in high school and got involved in the arts. I had incredible teachers in the public school system who sparked my creativity and desire to share all that I love.

I romanticize the idea of shooting full time behind the camera. Sometimes I like to think that I am with the amount of time I dedicate to shooting and processing my work. The reality is that I have a great full time job in the software industry and by choice I choose to continue having it be my primary profession.

I shoot out of a small studio in North Salt Lake, take freelance commercial gigs and contribute to several National Publications that mainly involve the flyfishing industry.

I have never felt it necessary to only shoot a certain genre or subject because I am not considered a full-time Pro. With that being said, it is liberating being able to choose when I want to shoot and have the relaxed deadlines that come with it. Shooting a wide range of subjects has helped me become a much better photographer and continually pushes me to study the game.

Lastly, I am living the dream. I am truly blessed with a beautiful family, make a decent living and get to shoot when I want. There will be a time when I am able to travel more and photograph other interests that I have. I am working towards this goal each day and look forward in sharing it with all of you who appreciate my work.
