Architect by profession now retired, I used photography in my work (for recording aspects of building construction) and now mainly for pleasure, family events - all the usual stuff.

I try to keep a camera with me whenever I am out and about.

Originally used Canon AV1 35mm film camera, and a pocket Canon Sureshot progressing to an early Kodak digital camera - DC3400.

I moved up to a Nikon D70 with the AF-S Nikkor 18-70mm lens, an AF-S Micro Nikkor 60mm 1:2.8 close-up lens and an AF Zoom-Nikkor VRII 70-300mm. I am now using a Nikon D300S body with additional Nikon prime lenses and a teleconverter for increased range - it's a steep learning curve!
