Painter and Sculptor

mixed media artist- I work from a perspective that allows me the freedom to use any material and image to create art. Some of the materials are cast-off objects, detritus, organic materials such as rust, sand, leaves, wood and ash. I also use traditionals medias such as chalk, acrylic, oil paint, paint stick, spray paint, pencil and graphite. Many of these paintings have a collage effect along with printed image and written text.

I use the written text as signifiers to propel images and metaphors into directionsof random poetry, as in a painting everything seems to interrelate as in collage.

These paintings are comments and observations, socialpolitical thoughts and emotional gestures of philosophy and poetry both from my Native culture and from the places that I've lived. see e-mail for inquiries for available art work.
