I am a lifelong transport enthusiast. My particular interests are in buses and coaches and railways. I am lucky enough to have been employed in the industry all my working life. My particular interests is in the operating side of the industry and includes bus and coach infrastructure - particularly old operating centres (bus and coach depots and terminals). I am most interested in small and medium size operators and particularly those operating in rural environments. I am a great fan of buses and coaches manufactured by AEC. My interest in railways is quite wide ranging. However I am particularly fond of the Diesel traction. The Diesel Hydraulic locos of the Western Region (particularly Hymeks) hold a particular fascination for me. I am also particularly interested in British industrial and narrow guage systems. In addition to transport I am also an offshore radio enthusiast and also have a great interest in family and local history.
