Javed Sultan is a self taught photographer, who works on social issues. He has contributed to various national and international agencies as a freelance artist.

His work has been published in various print and online media like The Sunday Guardian, Tehelka magazine, India Legal magazine and Invisible Photographer Asia.

Javed’s work has been featured in various photography exhibitions in India and abroad, which include photo journalistic exhibition in Canosa di Pulia, Italy, organized by the Foundation of the The South and Pro Loco UNPLI and Centre for Social and Development Studies photo exhibition in India.

His photo project "Of Traditions, Threads and Threats” won Humanity Photo Performance Award in the category of Living and Production Custom organized by China Folklore Photographic Association & UNESCO.
