I've been involved in Jazz & Acoustic music promotion in Bristol for over 30yrs. I ran my own Pub/Venue, The Albert in Bristol for 26 years (1979-2005). I established it as a reknowned bar and music venue specialising in Jazz (Jazz at The Albert) and with my partner Lorraine Carpenter, Acoustic Roots music (The Albert Hole Folk & Roots Club). Following that I was beverages manager at Bordeaux Quay Eco-Restaurant on the Bristol Docks. I also promoted music there over 3 years. I have over 30 years experience in the Licensed trade and have extensive knowledge and qualifications in Wine and Cocktails. Winner of many cocktail competions and having came second in the UK Bartenders Comp' 2005, went on to represent the UK at the International Bartenders Guild seminar and Competition in Bordeaux in Sept' 2005. I have a great passion for Football and most sports, Jazz, Food and Drink of high quality and am an avid crossword solver (The Guardian is the best).
