Jason Michael Sinn is a portrait, commercial, music, product and cultural photographer based in San Francisco, California. After serving as a camera-wielding Field Observer in the U.S. Coast Guard - tasked with capturing the rehabilitation of the Gulf of Mexico during the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill - Jason returned home with a new found love and appreciation for photography. What originally began as a curious hobby quickly blossomed into an artistic obsession, with genres like cinematography, acting, and dance molding his creative intuition into a distinctly original and emotionally magnetic art style.

Since the debut of his craft, Jason has had the opportunity to work with several distinguished artists, including: Abe Cunningham from the Deftones, So You Think You Can Dance winner and celebrity 'Lil Kida, musician Nicholas David (NBC's The Voice), singer Butterscotch (America's Got Talent), and world touring guitarist Antione Dufour. He has also been sought out for many exciting commercial projects by national radio stations K-Love and Air 1, and international music brand Tama Drums. His work has been shown in print, ranging from national publications like Photographer's Forum to his home state's publications Comstock's Magazine and Sacramento Magazine. Jason has also been featured by the popular lighting company Profoto, who selected his photo "The Clay Man" as the face for their Fall 2016 EDU national print poster campaign.

When Jason is not on assignment he volunteers much of his personal time to local non-profit organizations, including the Latino Center of Art and Culture, the Sacramento SPCA and the Capital Dance Project. He also works on various cultural photography projects, with the most prominent being Unbroken: Native Americans Today, which focuses on modern Native American people, their culture, and the current struggles that they face in today's society.

Many people express that it is Jason's sense for visual grandness that separates him from the crowd, but ultimately it is his patience, creative foresight, and desire to connect with whoever is in front of his camera that makes his work - commercial, personal and editorial alike - flourish.
