When I look back, it is difficult to remember a time when I did not have a camera close to hand.

I was given a Canon AE-1 Program at the age of 11. With a single standard lens, I got some reasonable results. I am still pleased with the candid people shots that I took at the time. I am much more wary of people's reaction these days.

In my secondary school, I was the school photographer - reporting to the headteacher for photo assignments.

I find that I am constantly learning about photography - either from hands on experience or from others.

My best shots have been in recent years when I invested in some decent lenses that allowed for more creativity. It also helps to have two lovely characterful children to photograph.
