I am a school teacher that lives in Perth with a wide range of interests and hobbies. I have just finished playing a high level of basketball in the local SBL, love my mountain biking and outdoor pursuits, have been surfing for many years, mainly due to growing up on the Gold Coast and getting behind a camera.

I started getting interested in photography in the past few years, and started the hobby seriously with a Lumix G3. A great micro4/3 camera but I was finding I wanted something with a little more grunt so after a tonne of research I jumped straight up to the full frame arena with a Nikon D600. I went this path since I had no other glass in DX format and saw benefits of that little bit extra cash.

So here I am starting to seriously play with my new hobby and wanting to learn more on the way...
