Hi everyone,

 

I'm from the Philippines and only very recently been bitten by the camera bug ever since I got my Canon Powershot A1000 IS last December '08. This little bugger has opened up a whole new world for me that I haven't paid much notice to before, and subsequently introduced me to new found joys and the anticipation of wonderful discoveries that lie in wait sometimes right under my very nose that I often took for granted. It has definitely given me a new "perspective" in viewing things that surround us in everyday life.

 

Folks at flickr and their amazing and sometimes awe-inspiring images have gotten me hooked up even more from the first day I signed up. There is so much talent and creativity out there. The more I'm learning about photography each day, the more it's becoming clear that in order for me to get the results that I want, I would need more powerful tools even if my trusty A1000 has been serving me in good stead. It's basically a very good quality snapshot cam but has very limited manual controls (no Tv and Av) and zero lens and filter attachments. I hope I can get my hands on a fully featured DSLR to really get into the nitty gritty of this passion of ours.

 

Can't wait to get out of the house and go exploring. I've been too busy lately though.
