I'm a Nature & Wildlife photographer located in east Tennessee. I mostly shoot digital and occasionally film. When I do use film it's usually Fujichrome, sometimes Provia 100F but mostly Velvia 100F.

For my digital images, I use a Nikon D700 and Adobe Photoshop CS2 for processing the RAW files.

In January of 2009, I started working on a photoshop action to duplicate the contrast, saturation and sharpness of Velvia 100F, and after a few months of trial and error I ended up very very close to the real film. There are many different takes on digital velvia and I tried many of them, but I found that they were not consistent from shot to shot with changing conditions. So I took about three different instructions and combined them along with some other adjustments to raise dynamic range, contrast, and saturation.

Some of my other hobbies other than photography are Ham radio (KI4WVW), Farming (about 3 acres), and keeping a 1969 Ford 3000 Diesel tractor in working condition.
