I'm a beginner photographer. I'd like to learn more and plan to take some classes to improve my photography skills, and develop creative ways to shoot photos. I use a Canon PowerShot A95.

I'm married to my best friend. We're musicians and have our own band - Burnt Biskits (see burntbiskits.com). My husband is a community college program chair for electronics technology; I'm an administrative assistant for an affordable housing non-profit.

I'm a two-time breast cancer survivor. My last experience was just this past October. I had a bilateral mastectomy and am currently going through reconstruction. I'm cancer free and encourage all women to stay current with their mammograms. My cancer was caught VERY early this time, PRE-Stage 1.

I'm a step-mother to three adult "kids". We have a granddaughter, Josie, who is 2.5. She's a joy. Our oldest is daughter Jessi, who works full-time, goes to school and raises Josie; our second is son Cody. He's an Iraq War veteran (Marines). Now he's working and going to college; and our youngest, Martin, is working and figuring life out.

My mother is a bright, funny 92-year-old who reads constantly, works crosswords every day; and keeps us busy. She's our remaining parent, and we love her so much. I'm proud of her strength and positive attitude.
