I adore Flickr. I adore Lightroom. I am addicted to them both. I even try to love Photoshop. I am welded to my computer.

It never used to be like this. After 15 years as a far too busy professional wedding photographer, I got to the point where I never wanted to pick a camera up again. I was burnt out.

Now that I don't do weddings any more (far too stressful!), I am free to be more creative. I don't have to take pics that brides will buy. I can just please myself. So I got myself a teenyweeny camera (Powershot S95) which is miraculous and is always with me. And I started to experiment with things that I've never really done before: intentional camera movement to make blurry impressionistic pics, multiple exposures, panoramas, complete pics out of focus, selective colour, macro and lots more. I still use my big camera of course: canon 50D with mainly my sigma 105mm macro or my latest baby: the wonderful Canon 50mm f1.8. But that's enough about equipment. I'm not a techno geek. It's the image I love.

If you look at my work (please do!), you will see a very varied selection of subjects. I have pics of gardens, dogs, weddings, people, interiors, cornwall, bicycles, close-ups of soaps and stuff, and loads of other things. My latest passion is to do architectural details. I worry that all this makes me "a jack of all trades, master of none." I would like to specialise......but I can't. I want to take pictures of everything. What is my style? I don't know. My work shows that I seem to like strong colour but actually I like rather pale, pastelly things.

There is so much amazing talent on Flickr and I look at my favourites with awe and envy. They are a total inspiration. I just want to pick out ten of the people who consistently wow me:
