I am a printmaker --mainly unique monotypes, woodcuts and solarplate editions. I also work with digital images. My prints are inhabited by realistic birds, horses, cats and dogs, trees and flowers as subjects. The handmade papers I choose for each print and the multi-media approaches I experiment with give each artwork an expressive quality. I read widely, ranging from Simon Shamas' "Landscape and Memory" to Al Gores speeches on the environment to the ancient Korean Chun Bu Kyung to Temple Grandin's "Animals In Translation." This influences my work, leading me to meditate on the relationships we have with the natural world.
