I'm 30 and work as a full time graphic designer in York, most of my spare time is spent with my camera in my hand or sat at my laptop processing RAW files.

I don't have a specific genre of photography that i concentrate on, i believe life is too short to be pigeon-holed! So i'd say my style is eclectic.

I studies photography as part of my college & university course 1996-2001, shooting 35mm black & white film, developing my own films & printing from the negs. After uni i lost touch with photography as i didn't have access to a dark room & digital was too expensive & no where near as good as film.

I picked up my first digital SLR in 2004 (Canon EOS 350d) cheap from a chap i did design work for. However, being a man i didn't bother reading the manual & soon lost interest with it as i didn't know how to harness its true potential. In October 2007 i bought a photography magazine aimed at Canon users & more importantly beginners! (PhotoPlus if you're in the UK). it gave me the push to get the 350 out and learn how to use my DSLR. After that i was hooked again. Recently i upgraded to a Canon 40d & expanded my lens collection.

My Kit:

Canon EOS 40D

Sigma 10-20mm

Sigma 17-70mm

Tamron 90mm (macro)

Canon EF 50mm (Nifty Fifty)

Canon EF 70-300mm

Cokin ND grads - ND2, ND4

Canon Cable release

I'd love to hear anyone's thoughts on my images (good or bad!)

Thanks for reading :)
