I'm 34, Scottish and have been in the Army (HM Forces) since I was 16. I'm married to Hannah and we have a daughter Milly (3).

I'm new to photography and still don't consider myself a "photographer". I picked up a canon ixus 70 in march 07 and this was the first time I really started thinking about composition, use of light, DOF etc. Obviously a point and shoot has it's artistic limitations , so the next month I grabbed myself a second hand Nikon D70, couple of lenses, flash, spare batt, flash card and a camera book all for £350, and never looked back.

I love photography as a hobby, from the going out and getting a shot, organising my folders, post prossesing in photoshop and uploading to Flickr. My stuff tends to be a bit photoshop heavy.

I find photography opens your eyes to the world around you and helps you to see things you may not have noticed before.

in all honesty, I'm just another guy wih a camera who sticks his photos on the internet.

I regularly look through my contacts photos, and I am proud of my selection of faves ( I don't fav a picture lightly).
