Conventional truths can be altered; absolute truths cannot. Enlightenment is acceptance of ultimate truths plus the positives and negatives of human nature.

The meaning of life is the continuation of itself! Centuries of existence regardless of race, wealth, education, background, class, nationality, religion and culture have proved this! Mankind follows a pattern of birth, sustenance, reproduction and eventual death, natural or premature, like any other species: it's basic needs are no more than theirs - THE REST IS INVENTION; MANKIND IS MORE OPINION THAN FACT BASED TOWARD IT'S OWN EXISTENCE.

Human beings possess a vaster understanding of time and space hence why living a life of basic needs is never enough; unlike the Galapagos Tortoise which can live up to 100 years doing nothing else. Because the human mind is so easily bored it needs frequent stimulus: escapism being the most common. Regrettably this often includes self-delusion and imaginings of greatness outside indisputable fact; acceptance of absolute truths i.e. mortality, inevitable death, and disposability along with universal lack of regard, a means to shatter vain illusions.

Evolution in human terms is the passing of knowledge and experience from generation to generation hence the great advances in technology and living standards.

Society was created for useful and essential functions to share among it's members and relieve unnecessary burdens on others; for example a farmer is dependent on doctors for health needs, but doctors are dependent on farmers to provide basic nutrition; the which would be time consuming to acquire for themselves.

Mankind lives beyond basic needs to reduce mass poverty. If poverty was removed in developing countries however, production would reach unprecedented demand, further destroying natural resources and, eventually, ourselves.

Despite these benefits, Western Society is dependent on a greed and vanity culture to sustain its standards of living; sudden abolishment of it would cause huger wealth gaps and increased destitution; revenue needed to combat the latter is taxated via the greed culture itself. Another way of looking at this is "Escapism through vanity is the biggest money spinner of all"

The most common side effects of this system are discontent and depression among it's citizens who are coerced into projecting illusions of success and desirability of self.

Adaptability and the need to adjust to changing circumstances as they present themselves are among mankind's greatest qualities. A hypothetical example of this is a woman unexpectedly giving birth to triplets, but is unable to feed the third baby due to having only two breasts; another woman however who has recently given birth to just one is able to share half her breast milk to alleviate the suffering of the aforementioned third sibling.

However there are very tragic examples of this; the biggest being corruptibility. Very often the only difference between a medicine and a poison is dosage and the knowledge of this can be used to cause suffering or premeditated murder, not alleviate pain.

Another is hypocrisy: a form of survival where individuals call upon assistance from those they secretly dislike, or have little regard for. This also acts as foresight to adapt to change in circumstances as stated earlier. But this can be understood and exposed all too easily by those affected and angered by it should they choose to do so, making hypocrisy a common aspect of bad judgement.

Because man is the most powerful being in ecological terms, there is nothing to counteract it's spreading numbers other than itself. Religious, political, physical, lingual, cultural even gender differences cause tension, fear, superstition and undue suspicion of each other sometimes leading to violence, murder, mass murder/warfare; these being solely the main causes

It is the most tragic flaw and reality in human nature and history, but it might be helpful if more of us were aware of it!

Prejudice, self-importance and indulgence are acts of human nature that are primeval, inexhaustible, and very much here to stay.

I am of course happy for anyone to partly or fully disagree with me regarding this or anything else. But I ask for proof to substantiate any counter-arguments.
