I had my first DSLR back in January 2010 mainly for family holidays and some online product images. But it wasn't really until 2011 I wanted more out of my camera as I was enjoying actually taking photos and wanted to explore my camera a little more in depth. So I joined Bootcamp which was being held by Practical Photography this started in around March 2011 and finished in August 2011 after sitting this course and meeting people here on flickr I started to understand the camera a hell of a lot more.
What is my genre? well at the moment I have found that I actually enjoy still life and macro type images I just love how things look so different close up
Camera Nikon D40 (hope to upgrade to the D7000/ D700 at some stage)
Lenses
Nikon 18-55
Nikon 55-200
Tamron 70-300
Sigma 105mm (this is fast becoming my main lens right now)
Finally upgraded to the D7000 and must admit it one piece of kit I will always keep my D40 in the background as we have had some great times together lol
My only tip to photography is shoot as much as you can you will learn more that way.
