I live in London, and my parents have a house in the south of France, where I ordinarily spend a few weeks each summer, and Christmases. They moved in in 2005, and bought three kittens. Claude was a lovely boy, and formed a strong, brotherly bond with me. Fifi also adored me. And Flossy was friendly, but not very interested in people. Claude was put down in 2018. Fifi died in 2020. And Flossy went missing later that year.

I have no special interest in photography, but like most people, I like to take pictures of things. I have an old digital camera from 2005, and an iPhone.

I got a Flickr account in 2007, when I started working at a company called ShoZu, that created an app that allowed you to upload photos from your phone to your Flickr account. I went on a trip to the company's San Francisco office, and spent a day exploring as much of San Francisco as I could, and uploaded the best photos to Flickr.

I got made redundant in 2008, went back to France for a month, and then went on holiday with my dad to Zambia, and uploaded loads of photos from that trip.

After that, I haven't really done anything interesting. I tended to take lots of photos of the house in France, the cats, and the places we visited nearby. I've taken some photos from places near my home, and from my windows, when the conditions outside look interesting.

I fell out of the habit of uploaded photos to Flickr, and also lost access to my Flickr account. When I got access back, I started uploading some recent photos, but then my hard drive, where I stored all the photos from my camera, broke, and I haven't got around to recovering them yet (if that's even going to be possible). Hopefully one day I'll start uploading photos again, and so continue to chronicle my amazing life.
