Note: If the photos on the front page of my photostream don't interest you, please check out some of my collections and sets off to the right side!

I am a person. A student at UCSB, actually. Double-majoring in anthropology and Spanish. Perfect for studying abroad...which means, hopefully, I will have my first photos taken internationally in the next few years! Thinking either Spain or Chile at this point.

How I define myself as a photographer: I photograph what I want, when I want, and how I want. In other words, I don't think I have any specific "style."

Of course, my main goal is to take "good" photos, with two branches: the first branch being documenting events such as vacations and parties for my family, and the second branch being trying to do something artsy and unique. Obviously, documentary photos don't have to be as of high quality as artsy photos. =)

The only photography rule I know is the rule of thirds, and I am unhappy that I learned it, because now I feel pressured into following it. A sun setting into the ocean is just as good in the middle of the photo as it would be in the bottom or top thirds of the photo, in my opinion.

My guess is that I've taken around 10000 photos over the past 6 years...not all of them get to Flickr for various reasons.

Lately (since moving to UCSB), I have had less drive to go out and take photos...which really sucks, because UCSB has tons of stuff to take photos of. Few of my friends at UCSB realize that I am a photographer, while all my friends at high school definitely know. I hope to start shooting around UCSB again soon.
